Thank you for your interest in Talent 100 and the excellent courses we have to offer.
I’d firstly like to say that we understand that your child’s education is very important; it will determine the course they can study in University and hence influence what profession and career they can enter. At Talent 100, we appreciate the significance of the HSC, and treat your child’s education with the utmost respect.
As Head Education Coordinator, I’d like to assure that our courses are truly unique, and offers students exceptional value in three core ways:
Our approach to learning is two tiered. Firstly, we emphasise a first-principles approach to learning that focuses on building understanding, rather than memorising. When I say first-principles, I mean we comprehensively examine the key theory and find ways to ensure that students fully grasp it. That is why when we give you a formula, we show you the derivation; and when a key concept is introduced, it is immediately tested with a variety of questions. This grooves a deep understanding of the topic area that is needed to answer questions of all difficulty.
Secondly, we focus on fine-tuning exam technique to perfection. After all, the HSC is exam based and it is appropriate that students are adequately conditioned to the style, rigour and structure of examinations so that they can perform at their best. Our homework is therefore set like a mini HSC exam so that students get used to the stress and timing of our examinations. Our system will literally ensure that sitting an exam is as easy as doing homework!
Whilst schools debate the merit of ‘UAI maximisation’, I believe the mandate of a tutoring college is simply to maximise marks, and to maximise UAIs.
One of our unique strengths is that we can help you target and achieve your absolute maximum UAI. This is not the usual lip-service to UAI maximisation you have probably heard. Rather, we can show you exactly how to calculate your UAI, how an improvement in a particular subject translates to an overall improvement in your UAI.
This ensures that your study remains relevant. When you know the key milestones you must achieve, you are much more likely to get the UAI you are targeting. We can show you what those milestones are, and how to improve your marks in each of your subjects.
